How Can brownish Discharge From The Ear Be Treated?

My daughter has brownish liquid coming from her ear and ear pain. Yesterday she had blocked ears and tried to equalise the pressure by closing her mouth and holding her nose whilst breathing out. She is a ski instructor, is it safe for her to go up the mountain today please?

Hi,

It looks like she is having eardrum perforation. Yes, she can visit but she needs to get it corrected if it will not in two to three weeks. A better way to go uphill with ear plugged with cotton.

Also, if she is having pain or pus discharge then she may need a course of antibiotics too.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muzaffer Hussain Parray,
